Iowa is supposed to be a very safe state to live in. Safe enough, maybe, for you to walk around by yourself, maybe even at night. Think carefully: Are you really so sure you need a car? Even if the answer is yes, how many cars do you really need? Maybe there’s one broken down in the garage that you haven’t gotten around to fixing yet. You don’t need to fix it up; there’s something better you can do with that car. You can donate it to Heritage for the Blind.
A car donation to Heritage for the Blind helps fund programs and services for the blind and visually impaired. And it’s good for you, the donor, too. How? For one thing, you can get rid of a junk car without spending any money--towing is FREE. Since your car qualifies as charity, you’ll get a tax deduction. You also get to ask about the free vacation voucher. And aside from all that, knowing that your donation is helping the visually impaired walk around by themselves just as safely as you can will give you a really great feeling.
